Las Vegas Trial Lawyer– Ashley B. Gugino
Ashley joined Eglet Adams in September 2021 as an Associate Attorney. Ashley works on the litigation team under Founding Partner Tracy Eglet, where she primarily concentrates on catastrophic injury matters. Prior to joining Eglet Adams, Ashley worked as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Mark R. Denton of the Eighth Judicial District Court, Clark County, Nevada.
Ashley was born and raised in Las Vegas, and is a second generation attorney having followed in her grandfather Salvatore C. Gugino’s footsteps. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications, with a Minor in Criminal Justice, from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in June 2017. She earned her Juris Doctorate with Distinction from McGeorge School of Law in May 2020, with both an Intellectual Property and Business Concentration.
While attending law school, Ashley made the Dean’s Honor List and served as a Comment Writer and Primary Editor for the University of the Pacific Law Review for two years. She also served as the Vice President of the Intellectual Student Property Association and as Treasurer for the Sports and Entertainment Law Society. In her free time, Ashley also worked on community service projects, including OneJustice Justice Bus and food drives at the Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services.
During the summer after her first year of law school, Ashley interned abroad in Vienna, Austria at Jeannée Mikula & Partner Rechtsanwälte. After her internship ended, Ashley spent the remainder of the summer in Salzburg, Austria studying Freedom of Expression under former United States Supreme Court Justice Anthony M. Kennedy. During the summer after her second year of law school, Ashley externed for the Honorable James C. Mahan in the Federal District Court for the District of Nevada. She also worked as an Intellectual Property Research Assistant for McGeorge’s Intellectual Property Department Head, Professor Michael Mireles, who was writing a cyber security law casebook.
During her third year of law school, Ashley was selected to sit on the Honor’s Board for the National Moot Court Competition Team as the Publicity Committee Co-Chair. During her time on Moot Court, Ashley participated in the New York City Bar Association Moot Court Competition and the American Bar Association Moot Court Competition, where she gained experience researching, writing, and arguing appellate briefs on constitutional and procedural matters. While competing at the New York City Bar Association Competition in San Francisco, California, her team placed second overall in the region, securing their spot in the final competition, which was held in New York City in February 2020.
Ashley is licensed to practice law in Nevada. She is currently a member of the Clark County Bar Association, American Bar Association, and Nevada Justice Association. In 2023, Ashley was named a Top 40 Under 40 Civil Plaintiff Trial Lawyer by The National Trial Lawyers.
When she is not practicing law, Ashley enjoys traveling and exploring foreign countries, cooking, visiting museums, and spending time with her family, friends, and her dog.
