A Tribute to Robert Adams

It is with both pride and deep emotion that we, Robert and Tracy Eglet, Art Ham, and Joel Henriod, offer this tribute to our colleague, dear friend, and invaluable law partner, Robert Adams, as he steps away from his position at the firm after an extraordinary 25 years.

Robert’s journey is a testament to hard work, dedication, and perseverance. Beginning his career as a paralegal, Robert embraced the law with quiet determination, working tirelessly to become the exceptional attorney and plaintiff trial lawyer we know today. His story is one of relentless progress—from handling minor traffic accident cases to becoming a key player in some of the most complex mass tort litigation in the country.

From the very start, Robert’s family has been his foundation. With his loving and very understanding wife, Ellen, by his side and his children, Chad, Jordan, Maggie and Bailey encouraging him, Robert built his legal career. He has always understood that true success is measured not just in professional achievements, but in the love and support of those closest to him.

Among his many achievements, Robert’s role in the landmark hepatitis C litigation stands as a defining moment in his career. His efforts helped to change medical injection practices nationwide, making them safer for patients and saving unknown countless lives. His determination to hold healthcare providers accountable extended to the health insurance company’s reckless hiring practices, ensuring that patient care would never be compromised for profit.

Robert also played a vital role in the Route 91 litigation, the largest shooting in U.S. history, which resulted in the largest settlement for a mass shooting ever. His dedication to securing justice for the victims of this devastating tragedy cannot be overstated. With his meticulous attention to detail and tireless efforts, Robert helped achieve a historic settlement less than two years after the shooting—an extraordinary feat in complex mass tort litigation. He worked to ensure that the families of those who lost their lives received the most compensation and closure, while also fighting for the survivors who endured life-altering physical and emotional injuries. Robert’s work in this case stands as an example of his commitment to justice, bringing a measure of healing and support to those impacted by an unimaginable act of violence.

Most recently, Robert played a pivotal role in the opioid litigation on behalf of the State of Nevada, helping to secure an unmatched settlement that will provide more funds per capita to Nevadans than any other state in the nation—a monumental achievement that will benefit the people of Nevada for years to come.

There simply is not enough space to fully honor Robert and the countless contributions he has made to our firm, our clients, and the broader legal community. He has been a mentor, a confidant, and a trusted partner. His humility and steadfast commitment to justice have been an inspiration to all of us.

Robert, it has been an absolute honor working alongside you, sharing in your triumphs and witnessing firsthand the positive impact you’ve made in the lives of so many. Your legacy will continue to shape this firm and the legal landscape for years to come. While we will miss your daily presence, we congratulate you wholeheartedly as you embark on your next chapter with your litigation consulting firm.

We wish you continued success, fulfillment, and happiness in this new endeavor. Thank you for everything—for your friendship, your wisdom, and your unwavering dedication to making a difference. We look forward to retaining your services!

With immense gratitude,
Robert and Tracy Eglet, Art Ham, Joel Henriod and the rest of the firm
